Our first review of a Seedlip's trio of ready to drink cocktails. Featuring their best selling spirit, Grove 42, a bespoke lemongrass tonic, citrus fruits and herbal distillates, Seedlip Grove 42 & Lemongrass Tonic takes the complex flavours Seedlip, mixes it with a unique tonic and delivers it all in the convenience of an RTD can. 

Flavour review: Balanced, Bright and Beautifully Bitter

Seedlip Grove 42 & Lemongrass Tonic is an amalgamation of some the ingredients that make a great sippable drink. The citrus owes comes from 3 different Mediterranean orange varieties and lemon peel. There's a touch of warmth from the lemongrass and ginger distillates and a pleasant bitterness from Seedlip's own tonic water blend. There is an ever so slight bitter aftertaste that does grow in intensity as you drink more which some may find offensive. However, as bittersweet fans, we found this a great finish to the drink. Although we do understand that it may be a little too strong for some. 

Value for money: Yes

As of July 2020, this was priced at £2.50for a 25cl can from Ocado. At this price range, it's comparable to GinISH & Tonic and other similar non-alcoholic cocktails.

Comparison: Gin & Tonic meets Citrus 

The unmistakeable bittersweet tonic flavour combines with the citrus-infused Seedlip Grove 42 to give a great alternative to a classic Gin & Tonic combination. Although, legally speaking Seedlip can't be called a non-alcoholic Gin as it contains no Juniper berries. The addition of the lemongrass in the tonic takes the flavour profile to up a notch in complexity. 

Perfect for: On the go Socialising

With all the effort taken care for you, enjoy Seedlip Grove 42 & Lemongrass Tonic at any moment. As refreshing with a meal as it is savoured at a picnic, it's great to have a couple of cans in your fridge for whenever the moment arises. Enjoy served with ice and a slice of orange or grapefruit.

Our opinion: Best for Citrus Lovers

If you like your no and low alcohol drinks full of varied citrus flavours, bittersweet tonic and a touch of lemongrass and ginger to add a touch of warmth, you'll appreciate Seedlip Grove 42 & Lemongrass Tonic.
